On June 26, 2025, police in Tuyên Quang Province, Vietnam, dismantled a sophisticated drug trafficking operation that involved nearly 10 kilograms of narcotics camouflaged as everyday consumer items such as candy, baked goods, and vape pods.

- It began with a small arrest
Authorities initially detained L.Q.K. (29, from Lạng Sơn) after discovering nearly 50 grams of cannabis in Tuyên Quang. - Wider Operation Revealed
Further investigation led to the search of suspect P.N.H.’s residence (30, living in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City). Police confiscated:- 6.289 kg of dried cannabis,
- 3.106 kg of cannabis-infused food (e.g., brownies),
- 2 kg of Gke (a form of aphrodisiac),
- 36 electronic vape pods filled with cannabis oil,
- Along with various synthetic drugs such as “magic mushrooms” and “bath salts”.
⚠️ Targeting the Youth with “Edible” Drugs
Criminals disguised drugs in the form of snacks, tea drinks, and vape products—intentionally marketing them toward young people, especially students. These items, bearing names like “weed candy,” “happy brownies,” or “relax pods,” are dangerously appealing yet extremely harmful.
Local police warned that even a single trial of these disguised drugs can lead to addiction, serious health consequences, and legal trouble.
